Meinen herzlichen Gruß zum Europa-Cup im Freestyle, der heuer in Bad Wiessee und in Schliersee ausgetragen wird.
Als Bayerischer Ministerpräsident möchte ich vor allem den Organisatoren des Turniers und ihren Förderern danken. Sie haben in den vergangenen Wochen und Monaten alles getan, um optimale Voraussetzungen für einen spannenden Wettkampf zu schaffen. Dabei werden zwischen Rauhkopf und Sonnenbichl gerade die jungen Sportlerinnen und Sportler dieser Disziplin im Mittelpunkt des Interesses stehen.
Alle Zuschauer fragen sich: Wer von ihnen wird in die Fußstapfen der großen Vorbilder treten?
Ich selbst kann mich noch gut daran erinnern, wie vor inzwischen elf Jahren Tatjana Mittermayer ihre Bronzemedaille auf der Buckelpiste von La Clusaz in Frankreich errungen hat. Das waren damals atemberaubende Bilder, die mir die Faszination der Ski-Akrobatik nahe gebracht haben.
Diesmal bieten die Tage von Schliersee und Bad Wiessee den Besten des Freestyle-Skiings eine exzellente Bühne für herausragende sportliche Leistungen.
Ich wünsche ein schönes und spannendes Turnier - und freue mich auf interessante Siegerinnen und Sieger!

Let me extend a warm welcome to you on the occasion of the Freestyle Europe-Cup which will be hosted by Bad Wiessee and Schliersee this year.
As the Bavarian Prime Minister I would like to express my special gratitude to the organizers and the sponsors of this event. You did a great job over the last weeks and months providing optimal conditions for an exciting contest. It is especially the younger sportswomen and sportsmen of this discipline we will focus on, between Rauhkopf and Sonnenbichl.All the spectators are keen to know: Who will follow in the footsteps of the admired heroes of the past?
As far as I am concerned,I still remember well the bronze medal won by Tatjana Mittermayer in the mogul slope of La Clusaz in France,more than eleven years ago.Those were breathtaking pictures, conveying the fascination of ski-acrobatics at its best.This time it’s Schliersee’s and Bad Wiessee’s turn to offer an excellent scene to the best freestyle-skiers, encouraging outstanding sporting performances.
It is my pleasure wishing you a wonderful and exciting sporting event, and I’m looking forward to applauding interesting winners.
